We’re starting the search for a new Design Technician to join our Pre-Con Design team.
We are looking for a strong Junior designer who can hit the ground running. The candidate needs to be very capable with AutoCAD, ideally has previous experience in commercial fit-out and preferably has some previous glazed partitioning experience. We also consider a background in joinery a desirable attribute because the skills are often transferable.
The role will be based in East London. The salary for this role is 30-35k based on experience, with some of the desirable skills required to reach that upper threshold.
A design technician in our Pre-Con Design team will be responsible for:
Attending Design Workshops.
Producing accurate stage 3 information based on client/architect requirements.
Producing drawings to supplement a tender.
Supporting the Estimating team with design & technical knowledge.
Working closely with the product development team to create new and bespoke solutions.
Managing mock-ups and samples through the business.
Required Skills & Experience:
The candidate must be experienced in using AutoCAD 2D. This will be the primary software used.
Confident using Microsoft Office.
Experience working within the commercial fit-out industry.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Revit/BIM proficiency
Presentation skills
Experience creating NBS Specifications
Experience working with Structural Glazing/Facades
